The Baiteze squad is a Hackney and Leyton Football League team. Baiteze creates videos with influencers and musicians, as well as uploading their football matches to YouTube.
I was introduced to the Social media team as well as the marketing team on my first day at Baiteze. I was then briefed on my responsibilities as a social media content manager and given examples of the type of content I would be expected to post.
I had to use Photoshop to create the thumbnail for their most recent YouTube video, which they had recently recorded. I then posted snippets from the match to their social media accounts to keep their fans interested.
Using a Canon 5D, I had to take several pictures of Baiteze new signing "Adeyinka Cole." I had no prior experience with this camera, but with the aid of the production team, I was able to achieve excellent results. I then added text to the picture in Photoshop and shared it through all social media channels to inform our fans about the new signing.
New Balance, the club's main sponsor, sent the club some unreleased football boots. My job was to take high-quality photos of the players wearing their football boots and to advertise the two new colorways on Baiteze's social media channels. On Instagram, I created polls asking their followers the new football boot they preferred.
I needed to create content for the Baiteze YouTube channel. I decided to make a video about Theo Ola, one of the club's founders and a fan favourite, after receiving comments and direct messages from the fans. The video has now received over 26 thousand views.
A meeting with the production team and the social media marketing team has been scheduled for me. My boss told us that we needed to come up with a series for our audiences that could be about something, not just football. I developed a social media strategy and generated potential ideas for this series.
I was assigned the task of conducting research and gathering ideas from other YouTube channels and television shows. I found a challenge , the "Cop Or Drop" challenge is a common trend on YouTube. Drop means they don't want the item and cop means they want to get it.
Today was my last day on the job. I had to pitch my boss on a new series we'll be releasing on YouTube. My plan was to host a series in which we invite members of the Baiteze squad to be interviewed and asked if they would cop or drop a product. My boss was fascinated by the concept and immediately set about putting the pieces in place to make the series a reality.
